[ad_1]

On the heels of Alibaba Chairman Jack Ma’s overtures to American President Trump and to the Australian government with a new round of tech investments, Alibaba is now spreading its government ties to Denmark.

Alibaba Group’s executive vice president Joseph Tsai and Danish foreign minister Anders Samuelsen jointly announced in Hangzhou that Alibaba Group and the Danish government have reached a strategic deal.

The strategic cooperation includes three parts: Denmark’s national hall will formally enter Tmall.hk; Alitrip.com reached a deal with the Danish Tourist Board and Scandinavian Airlines; and the two parties will further enhance their cooperation in creating international intellectual property.

Tsai said during the signing ceremony that with its unique design and lifestyle, Denmark created the happiest country in the world. Happiness is also the strategic goal of Alibaba and the cooperation of the two parties is based on their common understanding of happiness. They believe that with the launch of Denmark’s national hall and tourism national hall, Danish brands and this happy country will be widely known by Chinese people.

Samuelsen said that Danish government hopes to join hands with Alibaba and introduce Denmark’s products and happy life to Chinese consumers via the Internet.

Denmark is the 17th country that has opened a national hall on Tmall.hk and it is also the first in 2017.
