The PS4 Exclusive PlayStation Fans Are Most Excited for Is…

Congrats, Naughty Dog!

There are currently four massive-budget AAA games slated to be released exclusively for PlayStation owners: The Last of Us Part II, Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, and Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Since excitement for all four are incredibly high and that hype only continues to climb with each passing day, we decided to run a poll to find out which of these PS4 exclusives IGN readers are the most eager to get their hands on.

After gathering over 20K votes from all of you, here are the results:

As you can see, Naughty Dog’s highly-anticipated sequel—which rumor has it might be released in February 2020—trounced the competition with 43.1 percent of the vote.

Trailing in second with 28.8 percent is Square Enix’s remake of Final Fantasy VII—or rather, the first Midgar-focused episode, which will arrive on March 3, 2020 as a full game that spans two blu-ray discs. After garnering much praise from critics at E3 for the way in which it reinvents FFVII’s combat, it perhaps isn’t too surprising to see it right behind The Last of Us Part II.

Meanwhile, the combined votes for Ghost of Tsushima and Death Stranding comprise the remaining 28.1 percent. Sucker Punch’s third-person action adventure—which has been notably absent since it wowed us at E3 2018 with its gorgeous, brutal look at ancient Japan—edged out Death Stranding with 14.8 percent of the vote, leaving Kojima Productions’ wildly confusing but equally intriguing game in fourth place with 13.3 percent.

While Ghost of Tsushima has yet to get a release date and remains shrouded in a fair bit of mystery, we do know Death Stranding will be out this November. As such, it stands to reason Hideo Kojima’s new game will almost certainly be the only one of these four high-profile PS4 exclusives to arrive before year’s end.

What do you make of the results? How do they line up with your own excitement for PS4’s portfolio of upcoming exclusives? Let us know in the comments.
