Zelda: How to Get the Free Xenoblade 2 DLC Armor

[ad_1]

On November 9, 2017 Nintendo added free DLC to Breath of the Wild. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is one of DLC Side Quests in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Link will obtain the Salvager Set by completing this DLC Side Quest.

The description of the side quest gives you three clues of where to find the outfit.

  1. The southern sky from the middle of the largest bridge.
  2. The eastern sky from skull’s left eye.
  3. The southeastern sky from the peak of the tall, pierced snowy mountain.

In order to find all three pieces of Armor, you will need to travel to the locations mentioned in the clues, and once night falls, look to the stars until you spot a shooting star. Unlike regular Star Fragments, these will be tinged with red, and upon finding the point of impact, you will instead find a red chest holding the armor.

Video Guide

The southern sky from the middle of the largest bridge.

This first location is on the Bridge of Hylia in Hylia Lake Region. Stand on the middle of the bridge and look to the southern sky at night until you see a red shooting star.

This can happen any time after 9PM, and should only take a few moments to trigger (you don’t need to zoom in using the Sheikah Slate).

The red shooting star should fall down somewhere near the Southern side of the Bridge of Hylia, so follow the shooting star to where it lands and you will find a chest there with the Salvager Headwear.

The eastern sky from the skull’s left eye.

The second location is at Skull Lake, located in the Northern reaches of the Akkala Region.

Stand next to the Zuna Kai Shrine and look towards the eastern skies towards the ocean until you spot another red shooting star landing down behind the ridge.

Leave the lake and climb over the ridge and follow the red trail emitted by the star to find a chest with the Salvager Vest.

The southeastern sky from the peak of the tall, pierced snowy mountain.

The final location is on top of the Hebra Peak, found in the Northwestern area of the Hebra Region.

Climb to the tallest point of the peak among the mountains and look to the southeastern sky at night that overlooks Hyrule Castle in the distance. Don’t worry if you can’t see the stars for all the snow – the star will pierce the thick blizzard regardless.

Once you spot the shooting star, it will land far below on one of the mountain trails. Follow this one to find a chest with the Salvager Trousers.

Each of the pieces of armor give 5 base defense – but cannot be upgraded. However, each of them grant Swim Speed Up, and equipping all of them at once gives a Swim Dash Speed Bonus.
