[ad_1]

Those looking for an S-Class that stands out from the pack may find their match in a new “Night Edition” model. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe Night Edition will make its official debut at the Detroit auto show next month before heading to the U.S. market later in 2017.

As you can guess, blacked-out accents dominate the exterior of the “Night Edition.” The outside mirrors, side sill panel inserts, and grille receive the blacked-out treatment, and 20-inch AMG alloy wheels are also painted black. The model comes standard with AMG-styled front and rear aprons, and the car in these photos is painted a luscious “designo selenite grey magno” color.

We don’t know exactly what to expect for U.S. models, but globally, buyers have plenty of options when it comes to the interior. There’s a choice between three types of upholstery, including standard leather, Nappa leather, and AMG Nappa leather. Color options range from a full black interior to grey/black, brown/black, and red/black. “Night Edition” badging appears on the steering wheel, as well as the car’s exterior.

Globally, customers can choose between two engines: a 367-hp 3.0-liter V-6 and a 4.7-liter V-8 with 455 hp. The model with the more powerful engine is known as the S550 in the U.S.

The special model will debut at the Detroit auto show alongside the new 2018 E-Class Coupe. Following a market launch in Europe, the “Night Edition” arrives in the U.S. in August 2017.
