The LEGO Batman Movie

Release Date: Tuesday, June 13, 2017

  • See it on Amazon for $24.99 (Blu-ray)

From our Review: Watching The LEGO Batman Movie feels like dumping a bag of Dark Knight-flavoured sherbet directly onto your brain. Within the opening ten minutes, Batman faces and foils almost every villain you could possibly name – and more than a few you probably couldn’t – in a spectacular and thrilling action sequence that rivals any found in the live-action Batman movies in terms of sheer excitement and scale.

John Wick: Chapter 2

Release Date: Tuesday, June 13, 2017

  • See it on Amazon for $19.96 (Blu-ray)

From our Review: John Wick: Chapter 2 expands on the original’s lore while not giving away too many underworld secrets. Common and Ruby Rose bring their A-games as foils to Reeves’ Wick, who has somehow become an icon of action hero purity after just two films. Dragged down only slightly by a lack of resolution and less of the original’s aura of hushed mystery, John Wick: Chapter 2 nonetheless delivers everything most fans could want.

Mighty Gunvolt Burst

Release Date: Thursday, June 15, 2017

  • Downloadable on Nintendo Switch

The sequel to Mighty Gunvolt arrives on Switch this Thursday (and will also come to the 3DS eShop on June 29). In this second team-up between Beck from Mighty No. 9 and Gunvolt from Azure Striker Gunvolt, the two Mega Man-esque heroes go on another Mega Man-esque adventure. This time, though, there’s a new gameplay mechanic whereby getting up close and personal with foes before blasting them out of existence triggers a “Burst” bonus. Neat!

Pro Cycling Manager 2017

Release Date: Thursday, June 15, 2017

  • See it on Steam for $35.99 (PC)

Become the manager of a professional cycling team and compete against today’s best riders in over 200 races (500+ stages) across the world, including iconic races such as La Vuelta and the iconic Tour de France.

ARMS

Release Date: Friday, June 16, 2017

  • See it on Amazon for $47.99 with Prime (Nintendo Switch)

From our Review: Ditching the more grounded world of Nintendo’s Punch-Out!, ARMS is a far wackier take on the boxing genre. It’s an exciting face-off as you weave around incoming fists from afar, looking for that small opening to curve your powered-up glove straight into your foe or leap into the air for perfectly timed grab. ARMS is bursting with fast-paced modes and colorful exploding gloves that make every fight a blast, and its stylish lobby system keeps me coming back for more.
