Nintendo eShop Releases for Switch and 3DS: January 4

The latest eShop games, demos, and DLC releasing this week in North America.

January marks the first wave of new releases in 2018, and IGN has gathered a list of the latest eShop releases of the week for Nintendo Switch and 3DS in North America.

Switch eShop

ACA Neo Geo King Of The Monsters

ACA

Originally released by SNK in 1991, King of Monsters is an action brawler that allows you to take control of one of six monsters, and battle your way across Japan to claim the title of champion. In addition to standard attacks such as punches and kicks, you’ll also be able to master more destructive abilities such as flame and beam attacks to defeat your enemies. ($7.99)

This indie racer lets you race with up to three other friends in an isometric POV with realistic physics and plenty of drifting. Complete with online leaderboards, you’ll be able to compare your best race time with friends and other players all around the world. ($7.99)

The ultimate edition of the highly popular picture crossword puzzle game has finally made its way over to Switch. Featuring over 300 new puzzles, a co-op mode where you’ll be able to play with 2-4 friends, 150 color and 150 classic puzzles returning from the 2DS and Wii U versions, and more. ($7.99)

Stikbold! A Dodgeball Adventure DELUXE

This ‘70s themed wacky co-op adventure game combines elements of dodgeball with an array of crazy and colorful bosses. With brand-new content, improved features and gameplay, and the all new Wheel of Rumpus mode; Stikbold might just be the Switch’s most enticing party game for the first month of the new year. ($15.99)

3DS eShop

Kirby Battle Royale – Demo Version (Free)

Battle it out against three friends newest Kirby game on 3DS with Kirby Battle Royale! The demo lets you test out the game’s single and multiplayer modes; where you’ll be able to try out the Sword, Cutter, and Beetle ability, as well as transfer Meta Knight and coins as a bonus to the main game if you buy the full game.
