HP Black Friday ad leaks with laptop, desktop PC deals from $250

Dell and HP may be favorite PC choices in Black Friday ads, but that hasn’t stopped them from releasing ads for their own online stores each year. Dell’s 2016 ads have already been leaked, and now HP’s has joined them. But unlike its competitor, it doesn’t offer any $100 desktop or laptop deals and can’t even match the lowest prices from last year’s ad.

It does offer a wide variety of its systems, however, starting at a still-low price of $249.99. That will get you a choice of either the 15z laptop with AMD E2 processor, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive, and 15.6-inch display or the AMD 260-a010z desktop with AMD A6-7310 processor, 4GB of memory, and 1TB hard drive. Other budget deals include the $299.99 Pavilion 510z desktop (add $80 to move from an AMD to an Intel Core i3 CPU), a $299.99 all-in-one PC, or a $329.99 17z laptop.

The ad shows plenty of other laptop deals, such as the HP Pavilion x360 13t 2-in-1 with Core i3 and 13.3-inch touchscreen for $429.99 ($50 off) and the Envy 17t with Core i7 and 17.3-inch full HD screen for $649.99 (also $50 off current price, not $250 as the ad says). You do get much more savings on the ruggedized ProBook 450 G3, which, at $669, is more than $400 less than the current price for the base configuration with Intel Celeron processor, 8GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive, and 15.6-inch display. Note for other business laptops like the Elitebook that HP is pumping up the potential discount by showing the high price for a customizable notebook rather than the current price for the advertised configuration, which receives a more modest price trim, if any.

HP has the rare ad where there seem to be as many specials on desktops as on laptops. Again, you need to be careful and consult the HP website for a current price to determine just how much actual savings you receive. For example, the Envy 750-420qe is just $50 off the current price, but the Envy 750-405t appears to around $200 less than the online price. Likewise there’s a sale on the new Elite Slice modular desktop, with a $712.62 Core i5/8GB RAM/500GB hard drive configuration that’s about $100 less than the current price on the site.

There is no lack of deals on HP’s all-in-one (AIO) PCs, including the 24z with AMD A6 processor and 23.8-inch display for $399.99, or $130 less than the current price. Similarly large savings can be found on the Pavilion 24qe with Core i5 CPU and 23.8-inch full HD touchscreen for $749.99 ($180 off) and the Envy 27 with Core i5 and 27-inch display for $999.99 ($200 off).

HP even includes its gaming PCs in its ad. For instance, you can take $100 off the base configuration of the Omen X gaming desktop with Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, 1TB hard drive, and AMD Radeon RX 480 graphics card that’s currently $1,699.99. Alternatively, you can save a little more than $200 on the Omen 870-120st tower with 16GB of RAM and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card for $1,299.99
