Fortnite: Search Between an Oasis, Rock Archway, and Dinosaurs Map and Location – Week 2 Challenges

Week 2 Challenges in the Battle Pass for Fortnite Season 5 are here and this page lists tips and tricks to completing each and every one, including the search between an oasis, rock archway, and dinosaurs challenge and the score a basket on different hoops challenge. Clear at least four of the seven challenges to earn 5000XP. This set was released on July 19, 2018.

Deal 1000 damage to opponents using Assault Rifles. These guys are pretty common but here are all the weapons that will count:

If you’re okay with lessening your chances of winning, use only assault rifles to force yourself to only use assault rifles. These are one of the most common weapons in the game so it won’t be long until you’ve completed this challenge!

Find and open seven different ammo boxes in the same match. These little green boxes are everywhere but they are easy to miss if you don’t look carefully. You’ll find them inside buildings in most rooms. Look behind couches, under stairs, behind counters, and in plain site too. Make it a habit to find these small crates, having extra ammo is absolutely worth it in the end!

Take out three enemies in Paradise Palms. This brand new area is filled with buildings, chests, and more importantly, people. The most popular area will be the east side of the town where the tallest tower is at. If you want to take a safer approach, try to land on the west side closer to the edge of the map.

Also take note of the rifts. The desert biome is filled with them and they are great for making an escape. They can also be used as bait. If you see an enemy heading towards one, you’ll know exactly where they’ll be standing. Great if you’re sniping!

Use an ATK to drive out of the area once you’ve cleaned up the area.

Once you reach Tier 11 on the Season 5 Battle Pass, a basketball toy will be unlocked. This allows you to pull out a basketball and mess around with friends, but it’s also required for this weeks challenge.

The goal is to score a basket of five different hoops. So far there are nine locations on the map to pick from:

• Junk Junction – near the giant crusher on the northeastern section.
• Snobby Shores – in the backyard of the second house from the north.
• Outside the soccer stadium west of Tilted Towers.
• Tilted Towers – in the northern section of town, surrounded by a gate.
• Greasy Grove – in the northeastern part of town.
• On top of the mountain with the lone house southwest of Salty Springs.
• Retail Row – south end of town, near a house and the water tower.
• At the RV park east of Retail Row.
• Paradise Palms – On the west end of town.

A quick moment of silence for the old basketball court that once stood proud at the prison.

Open seven chests in Loot Lake. Chests at Loot Lake don’t follow the standard predictable placements as the chests on the rest of the map. A few notable chests:

• There’s a chest on each of the three boats around the main island.
• Near the campfire on the northern island.
• East of the shack near the docks, next to a campsite.
• In the underground tunnel underneath the main island.
• Inside the attic of the house on the main island.
• On the cliff of the main island.
• Inside the bedroom on the main island.
• Two chests can appear at the eastern rock left from the meteor crash.

Another battle token is hidden on the map and this time you won’t need a treasure map to find it. The three locations described in the title of the challenge all appear in the new desert biome. The oasis can be found at the start of the river, the dinosaurs are along the road near the abandoned junk yard, and the rock archway is between two mountains.

The battle token is located in the middle of all three locations in quadrant H9 where it sits at the top of a mountain. Land there after jumping out of the bus to avoid having to build up! Use our map to find the exact location.

Two sniper rifle eliminations. Any of these weapons will get the job done:

Remember that for longer shots you’ll need to aim a bit higher to make it land. If someone is running, aim in front of them. You’ll have to get used to distances and how long the bullet takes to get there, each time will be a little different.

Make the most of the 50v50 mode and complete this challenge there. You’ll have a lot of people to pick at from a concentrated area. Many will constantly peak over their forts with little worry since there is so much going on around them. That said, there are also plenty of other snipers in the area so never stand still for too long and switch up your position from time to time.
