Fortnite Buccaneer’s Bounty Challenges are a new set of challenges available during Season 8. Released alongside the v8.30 patch on April 11, the four different challenges offer additional XP and a few new rewards.
Each challenge unlocks one reward and completing all four will unlock the Boobytrapped emote.

Visit a Pirate Camp in different matches[edit]
Pirates have taken over seven abandoned locations across the map. Visit at least at least one of these pirate camps in ten matches. You’ll know it’s a pirate camp by the flag with the white kraken along with the shoddy wooden infrastructure. Use our map and our list of locations to help you find them all:
- To the west of the water at Lazy Lagoon.
- At the southwest section of the base of the volcano.
- The abandoned house southwest of Pleasant Park.
- In the snow biome, northeast of the old Greasy Grove (frozen lake).
- On top of the hill southwest of Salty Springs.
- At the bridge connecting the desert biome to the normal map, south of Retail Row.
- The abandoned house between Loot Lake and Dusty Divot.

Search Buried Treasure[edit]
Buried Treasure is recently added Legendary item and your job is to successfully do this once. Once you find one and activate it, a red dotted line will quickly point in the direction of the treasure. You should see a gold beam in the distance.
Follow this beam, which should be at least a full quadrant away, until you see a big “X” on the ground. Whack it with your harvesting tool to reveal buried treasure. Open the chest to not only get several legendary items but to also add to this challenge!
Place Top 10 in Squads with a friend[edit]
Be one of the last 10 teams standing in Squads, but you must be partnered with a friend from your friends list. For the challenge, you’ll need to do this three times! Looking for a friend? Try playing a few matches and sending a friend request to any teammates you had a good time playing with. You can also leave your username here in the comments!
This will still count if you play a Squad based LTM but it won’t work in modes with larger teams.
Shoot yourself out of a Pirate Cannon in different matches[edit]
Do this challenge at the same time you do the pirate camp challenge! Multiple Pirate Cannons can be found at each pirate camp. Keep in mind you should be entering each cannon yourself and launching yourself out on your own. Do this five times to complete the challenge. We have a map of all the pirate camp locations above!
