Dragonball Xenoverse 2 on Nintendo Switch release date finally revealed

[ad_1]

It’s nearly six months to the day that we first heard that Dragonball Xenoverse 2will be getting a release on Nintendo Switch. The Switch version was first revealed way back on January 12, but since then, Bandai Namco has been silent on when we can expect it to release. That all changed today, with the company finally announcing the launch date for Dragonball Xenoverse 2.

Dragonball Xenoverse 2 will launch for the Nintendo Switch on September 22. Of course, if you’re a Dragonball fan and you play games on pretty much any other platform, there’s a fair chance that you’ve already had your fill on Xenoverse 2. After all, Xenoverse 2 has been available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC since late 2016.

However, that isn’t to say that Xenoverse 2 may not be worth replaying on the Switch. Not only do we have the portability factor to consider, but Bandai Namco promises that the Switch port of Xenoverse 2 will come with special functionality and controls for the Switch. Chief among this functionality will be a Switch-exclusive six-player local multiplayer mode.

You’ll also be able to use the Switch’s Joy-Con controllers to play the game locally with a friend. Those Switch-exclusive controls Bandai Namco mentioned refer to the Joy Cons as well, which let you perform attacks like the Spirit Bomb or Kamehameha using motion controls. At the moment, there’s no word on whether or not motion control will play a larger role within Xenoverse 2.

As always, the game is already up for pre-order at a number of different retailers like GameStop and Amazon, though there notably aren’t any pre-order bonuses listed at this point in time. Will you be picking up Xenoverse 2 when it launches for Nintendo Switch on September 22? Head down to the comments section and let us know!
