#OnWednesdaysWeWearPink
Bethesda and Ubisoft had a little fun today on Twitter while promoting their games, Rage 2 and Far Cry: New Dawn.
It all began when the Rage twitter account tweeted an image that clearly imitates Far Cry: New Dawn, which had previews drop today, and features the text “Rage 2: Newer Dawn.” It also teased that Rage 2 will be getting similar coverage next week.
The Far Cry twitter isn’t one to back down, and they responded by appreciating Rage’s gesture, while also gifting them the gift of a story trailer for Far Cry: New Dawn to go alongside its image.
Rage’s account responded by saying “Oh Sweet. The game looks great! #OnWednesdaysWeWearPink,” complete with the iconic meme of two identical Spider-Men staring each other down.
This was a fun exchange between two companies who are releasing two games that do share a similar aesthetic, which appears to be a lot of pink and neon colors in post-apocalyptic worlds.
Rage 2 will be released on May 14, 2019, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC and will send players through a post-apocalyptic open world with superpowers and so much more.
Far Cry: New Dawn will be released on February 15, 1029, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC and is a standalone sequel to Far Cry 5 that takes place in Hope County, Montana 17 years after the main game following a global nuclear disaster.
